Raised
Center Aisle Barns, or RCA Barns (abbreviated) have many of the same benefits
found in a Gable Barn design. In
addition to these benefits, they have increased airflow, are cooler in the
summer months, have more natural lighting within the barn, and accumulate less
condensation than a Gable Barn design.
The addition
of porches to a Raised Center Aisle Barn design can allow for covered paddocks,
additional storage space, or even just a place to hang out in the barn.
